Funding cuts of 4% a year for 3 years will mean 7,500 fewer nurses, 1,800fewer PSW’s and 2,500 bed cuts. Hospitals have been told to budget for increases of 2% a year for the next 3 years, but their costs are rising by 6%. The independent Financial Accountability Office predicts cuts of 7,500 nurses, 1,800 psw’s and the cut of 2,500 beds. Notice to Members The new wage rates recently bargained between the OHA and OCHU, will take effect on January 5th and will be reflected in your January 22nd pay . New wage grids can be found attached below. Retroactive pay will be issued on March 5th . Wages will be retroactive to September 29 2025.
