Memo from Halton Healthcare re: Annual Core Curriculum

The following is a message from Halton Healthcare to CUPE members:

Hello!

I’m reaching out to ask for your support in reminding members that the 2026 Annual Core Curriculum (ACC) modules must be completed by end of day Tuesday, June 30.

Staff who have not yet completed their ACC requirements have received reminder emails directly to their Halton Healthcare email accounts. After June 30, Human Resources will work with People Leaders to follow up on any incomplete training.

To remain compliant, all staff are required to complete the following modules:

  • Emergency Preparedness & Fire Safety

  • Health, Safety & Wellness

  • Infection Prevention & Control

  • Introduction to Cyber Security

  • Privacy Training

  • Workplace Violence Awareness: De-escalation Basics

In addition, staff who have not yet completed it must also finish:

  • CALL IT OUT: Racism, Racial Discrimination and Human Rights

All ACC courses are available through the One Learning Institute (OLI) on Connections and can be accessed via single sign-on from any device, including mobile.

For support accessing OLI, locating courses, or arranging space to complete training, members can contact: OrganizationalDevelopment@haltonhealthcare.com

We appreciate your help in reinforcing this reminder and encouraging timely completion!

Thanks,

Halton Healthcare

About CUPE 815

CUPE 815 represents more than 1500 healthcare support workers from Halton Healthcare Milton and Oakville sites.

These workers include RPNs, Unit Clerks, Trades People, Food Services, MDR, Stores, and Housekeeping.

CUPE advocates for workers who deliver the public services people depend on. Our members work in hospitals, schools, municipalities, and many other public spaces.

We help our members provide the highest level of service by ensuring they are safe and healthy at work, and that they get fair pay and benefits for the services they provide.

We also advocate for better public services, like improvements to public health care and to the Canada Pension Plan, that would improve our communities and the lives all Canadians.

We acknowledge that Halton Region is on the traditional territory of Indigenous peoples, including the Mississaugas of the Credit, and we are grateful to share this land today.
